Sub is the eighth-best workplace in Finland

Maaretta Tukiainen

MTV MEDIA TV channel Sub is included in the Finland's Best Workplaces list in the small companies (up to 50 employees) category for the second consecutive year. Sub was rated the eighth-best workplace in Finland, up two places from the year before. The annual list is compiled by the Great Place to Work© Institute Finland. This year's list recognised the top 50 workplaces in the country.

"Subs rating among Finland's Best Workplaces is particularly significant because last year was highly challenging for the entire media sector due to the financial crisis. Creating a good workplace calls for sustained work. Being rated high on this list is proof that our development work is bearing fruit and its direction is right," says Maaretta Tukiainen, Director of Programmes at Sub.

About the Best Workplaces lists

The Finland's Best Workplaces list is part of the world's biggest annual workplace evaluation conducted in more than 40 countries by independent research and consultancy company the Great Place to Work© Institute. The lists are based on a global standard for a great workplace developed on the basis of 25 years of research. The Finnish Best Workplaces lists are mainly compiled on the basis of surveys conducted among the organisations' own employees, with 2/3 of the score based on the employee survey and 1/3 on the organisation's management practices. The lists are produced for three categories: small organisations (15−49 employees), the general list (50−500 employees) and large organisations (more than 500 employees).
